You will be based with our Replenishment team in our support office but this role is key in managing the inbound flow of goods into the DCs ensuring efficiency and timely scheduling of purchase orders.
**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga**
We have this exciting opportunity for an Inbound Capacity Planner to join our team in a 15 week fixed term capacity. In this role, you will mostly be tasked with managing the inbound flow of goods into Countdown’s DC’s. Working with a diverse group of stakeholders, you will schedule the flow of stock, aligning with the space and organising the bookings with our suppliers. You will oversee inbound flow, communicate and resolve known and unexpected issues and negotiate changes to DC operations and purchasing practices proactively when constraints are breached.
This is predominantly a Monday to Friday role with flexibility in hours, can start as early as 7am if you wish. Some limited weekend work will be involved

You will have the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in DCs, Carriers or Replenishment or any type of planning
- Superior relationship management in building rapport with peers and key stakeholders
- A strong focus and attention to detail to be able to foresee issues before they arise and work through mitigation to minimise impacts"
To succeed in this role you will bring your innate ability to anticipate and resolve any issues that arise. You will be working in a very fast paced environment, focusing ultimately on product availability for our customers. You will have an opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge around how Countdown Logistics works, with exposure to transport companies, DC Operations and Replenishment.
