**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

As a Team Member within our fitness space, this role involves building positive relationships with members at our Leisure Centres, customers, and stakeholders, and providing general support with our cardio equipment

Other tasks you can be expected to do include handling administration tasks like membership sign-ups and appointment bookings, monitoring gym safety and cleanliness, and contributing to team planning.

With our Leisure Centres more popular and busier than ever, our fitness teams play a vital part in ensuring that visitors are kept motivated, interested, and eager to return.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

It goes without saying that you will be passionate about fitness, health, and wellbeing

A recognised fitness-related qualification is advantageous or equivalent experience, and knowledge of fitness training including fitness testing and monitoring of clients is advantageous, also holding a current REP's Certificate, or NCEA Certificate in Level 1 or 2, and First Aid Certificate If you do not hold a First Aid Certificate, we will help you get this.

We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive people who thrive on client contact and have a proven ability to communicate effectively to provide a high level of client satisfaction through the programmes you deliver.

Joining a proactive and dynamic team, you will be a keen team player with a flexible approach. You will be comfortable to ask questions and build your knowledge to be able to use your initiative to provide innovative and appropriate fitness solutions. With impeccable time management skills, you will be confident with administrative tasks and processes.

**Hourly rate: $27.80**
**Band C**

We aim to upskill and progress your career, so you can train and take on other functions within our centres, such as Customer Service Rep, Recreation Assistant and more. By the same token, if we occasionally need some help in other areas such as on our front desk and general customer service duties, as a team member, you may be called on to cover these areas if short staffed or at peak periods.
