Teletrac Navman is seeking an accomplished Product Owner to join us and inspire, create, enhance and scale our software telematics products.

Working with the wider Product Management team, Global R&D, Operations, and other key business stakeholders and reporting to the Director, Product Design, in California, this critical role will help to design, develop and support features that meet and support Teletrac Navman’s goals.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

As a Product Owner, you will use your skills to lead agile scrum delivery, develop customer-focused solutions, synthesize stakeholder feedback and translate strategic vision into product requirements. You will help us in our mission to solve our customers’ problems.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing vision & direction to the Agile development team & stakeholders through the project and creating requirements
- Assessing the value, developing cases, and prioritizing stories, features and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
- Leading product release planning and setting the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
- Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
- Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed and optimizing the value of the work of the Development Team
- Ensuring Product Backlog Items have the attributes of a description, order, estimate and value; ordering these to best achieve goals and missions, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next
- Discussing the current status of the Product Backlog, next targets and objectives, likely delivery dates and progress made with key stakeholders
- Researching and analyzing the market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner
- Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering / Computer Science or a relevant field and/or equivalent significant, relevant experience in a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creative thinker with a vision
- Attention to details
- Ability to work closely with customers and properly manage expectations
- An understanding of web system technologies such as databases, server-side programming, client-side scripting, analytics, and mobile specific technologies.
- Able to identify and evaluate relevant technology solutions to solve business problems and drive forward continuous improvements.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, team building, and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects of various complexities and locations
- Work experience in telematics or other GPS-related field
- Certified Scrum Product Owner
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, change-embracing corporate culture
