Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites is a leading provider of apartment style accommodation in Australasia, with more than 60 properties spanning across five countries.
With a focus on expansion, we have a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate hands-on team leader to join our team at Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort. With 84 existing rooms, we are currently expanding and are looking for a confident and motivated professional to join us as we undergo an exciting transformation.
As the Front Office Manager, you are the contact for operational and guest queries. You will be inspiring your team and delighting our guests with your positive can-do attitude and ability to make people feel at home.
An additional 73 rooms, a vibrant bar and an elegant restaurant are currently under construction and to be unveiled early next year. There has never been a more exciting time to join us with plenty of opportunity for future growth and development.
**Key Responsibilities Include**:
- Provide memorable guest experiences by demonstrating commitment to service excellence and maintaining brand standards.
- Guide & support the team in delivering outstanding and proactive guest services.
- Ensure that all daily tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete daily administration duties.
- Conduct guest arrivals and departures.
- Resolve & respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate guest accounts and assist with daily and monthly reporting.
- Maximise loyalty membership signups and local tour sales.
- Effectively manage team rosters to meet budgets.
- Support Area Manager with hotel recruitment as required.
- Ensure room presentation and services meet brand standards by working closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance departments.
**Qualifications** About you**
This role will suit a well-presented, mature and energetic individual with positive leadership skills who inspires and supports their team members, leads by example and is willing to go above and beyond.
You are reliable, honest and adaptable with a genuine passion for delivering superior guest experiences. Your excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills enable you to build exceptional relationships with guests, staff and owners.
You will have a sound understanding of Front Office operations, previous supervisory or leadership experience in a hotel or resort environment with the ability to drive a culture of accountability and promote staff engagement. You are eager to learn and grow in this role, look forward to developing your skills, thinking outside the box and taking on future opportunities, as we navigate through the current developments with the grand opening of beautifully designed new apartments and facilities on the horizon.
You are available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and have a full driver license.
