We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor for the Building Financial Capability (BFC) team to positively contribute to our vision financial wellbeing for New Zealanders.
This role offers exciting and challenging opportunities to work closely with the community and across-government, and be part of wider dedicated Safe, Strong Families and Communities team.
About our Team
The Safe, Strong Families and Communities (SSFC) team sits within the Māori, Communities and Partnerships Group at MSD. In our work, we make a real and positive difference for communities, through the services we invest in and the support we give.

The focus of the BFC Team is to ensure financial capability services are:

- accessible for all
- sustainably funded
- delivered in the right way at the right time.

About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for leading and contributing to work focused improving financial capability services for New Zealanders. The core component of this role is working with financial capability sector to support the availability, accessibility and quality of services that responds to the needs of communities across New Zealand. Experience working with NGOs and finding connections between financial capability services and other complimentary initiatives that support financial wellbeing is essential.

To be successful in the roles you will be excellent at
- Building effective collaborative relationships across a range of stakeholders
- Experience with procurement and contracting systems and processes
- Implementing and managing programmes of work
- Working with external organisations to ensure robust evaluation process are completed
- Working and supporting with NGOs with government processes
- Delivering robust solutions to achieve positive outcomes
- Exercising sound judgement and managing risk

Demonstrated experience/knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Pacific cultures and values will be an advantage and demonstrates individual cultural capital, which is required to be successful in this role.
Position Description

**Salary range**: $99,546.00 - $120,778.00
