The Role:
We have an exciting leadership opportunity based in the North Island.

Reporting to the COO - Go Bus Regional, this position is responsible for providing general management oversight and leadership to the North Island regional operations delivering (mainly) Schools, SESTA and Charter with some urban services, ensuring the Company achieves its operational service delivery objectives, financial, safety, compliance, risk management and people commitments.

Key responsibilities:

- To ensure that business objectives and standards are met in full to provide professional and cost-effective delivery of all passenger transport services in accordance with applicable service requirements, regulatory requirements and contract partner SLAs.
- Providing leadership and direction to all staff (approx. 700).
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders which include senior business leaders and government departments to ensure alignment and that all cross functional business and contractual obligations are met.
- Ensuring that annual operating budgets are achieved.
- All business risk is identified and managed whilst meeting business objectives and regulatory obligations.
- Leading the implementation of strategic change projects required to increase/improve services, efficiency, productivity, regulatory and compliance obligations.

You’ll need to show that you have:

- At least 10 years senior management experience in the bus or relevant industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience running large complex operational businesses.
- Relevant experience in project management.
- Experience in leading a team of managers that are located in geographically spread areas.
- Experience in managing customer and stakeholder relationships within significant organisations.
- Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act and Employment Legislation.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster meaningful working relationships.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
