**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
Do you have an interest in compliance and corporate insolvency? We are looking for a Senior Integrity Officer to join the Integrity and Enforcement Team (IET).

IET is part of the Criminal Proceeds, Integrity and Enforcement Group, within the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). One of the core functions of IET is providing services to the Registrar of Companies and Companies Office to achieve its compliance, integrity and enforcement objectives.

A primary focus of the Companies Office is to ensure there is accountability and responsibility in New Zealand’s business environment. This is done by effective compliance monitoring, ensuring integrity of the Register and enforcement of relevant legislation, particularly the Companies Act 1993.

The Senior Integrity Officer role is to primarily undertake the director prohibition function of the Registrar of Companies, consideration and analysis of complaints made to the Registrar of Companies, and the analysis and verification of documents submitted to the Companies Office.

**Skills and Experience Required**

Other essential skills and experience required for this role includes:

- The ability to write clear, robust reports and possess excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Planning and organising skills, including ability to maintain performance when under pressure, critical assessment of work-flows, managing case-loads and appropriate prioritising of work;
- A proven ability to develop trust, credibility and engagement with managers, staff and stakeholders; and
- A tertiary qualification, preferably in law or commerce, or relevant experience, such as experience in a compliance or regulatory role.
- Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
