Payroll Officer

Come and join our committed and fun payroll team. The main responsibility is to ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time each fortnight, for both the Ministry and Judiciary. You will look after a portfolio and manage employee changes from processing new employees right through to final pays and queries, in an efficient and professional manner.
**He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- understanding of end to end payroll experience
- understanding of employment legislation and the holidays act
- previous experience with SAP Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll would be an advantage
- ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- good communicator both written and verbal
- ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationship and effective networks across the Ministry

Finance leads the design, development and delivery of effective financial strategies, policies, systems and management aligned to the Ministry's strategic direction. The team enables the Ministry to meet its financial reporting and taxation requirements, provide payroll, employee data, and financial transaction processing.
