**Days Required: Monday to Saturday (flexible hours)**
**Hourly rate: $23 per hour**

We are seeking hard-working and reliable Trades Assistant to join us in Waikato Region. You should have a positive attitude and be willing to learn. You must be mature and responsible when it comes to dealing with tough situations. Although experience isn't essential, you will have to be physically fit and a fast learner. To be successful in this position, you will work well as part of a team and be able to perform strenuous physical tasks.

Your duties will include but not limited to:
Assist HVAC technicians to install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems and equipment:

- Assist HVAC technicians with the installation of HVAC systems on commercial and residential properties.
- Assist HVAC technicians to Install roof units for heating and air conditioning as well as the units inside residential and commercial buildings.
- Cleaning and replacing air ducts as directed by the technicians.
- Following instructions for picking up and delivering parts, tools, materials, and supplies to and from the job site.
- Ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are in good working order.
- To Assist HVAC technicians in completing preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and the associated equipment.
- Coordinating with team members to provide excellent customer service.
- Keeps the work area neat at all times. Follows safety procedures and requirements.
- Performing set up and clean up tasks at the job site
- Put up warning signs (e.g., signposts, cones) for passersby
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
- Assist in transporting materials, tools and equipment.
- Be able to follow workplace occupational health and safety procedures
- Performing manual labour tasks and various physical duties as assigned.
- Excellent fitness and physical ability to carry out manual tasks
- Flexible Work Availability as there will be early morning start, and you may be required to work during weekends and public holidays
- Willingness to undertake training if necessary.
- Be mild-tempered and a team player.
- Be healthy, strong, and fit.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to read safety warnings, and guidelines
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
- Be honest and trustworthy
- Take pride in your work and go the extra mile to make sure the job is top notch
- Able to receive and follow instructions
- Enjoy coming to work and willing to be part of a team.
- No Criminal Record and able to clear the drug test
