**About the company**:
Our client operates NZ wide, with a significant number of construction, infrastructure and capital projects in progress, and scheduled for the coming 12-24 months. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Project Lead or Construction Manager to assist them on a Contract basis, as a Delivery Manager.

**About the role**:
You will be responsible for managing and delivering construction and capital projects including project brief development, planning, design, construction delivery and handover within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality standards. You will be working in a busy, fast paced environment, with the majority of project you’ll be working on based in the Bay of Plenty, with some in the Waikato region.

**Day to day responsibilities**:

- Monitor progress, identify emerging issues and risks, and manage these effectively
- Ensure administration of projects is correctly managed in the system with all required information, including cost reporting
- Provide clear and concise communications and be consistently responsive to all key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Monitor performance of suppliers, contractors and consultants
- Monitor budget requirements and expenditure

**Start date**: As soon as possible

**Days / Hours**: Full time Contract assignment with a Daily Rate available

**About you**:
To be considered for this position, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

- Previous experience in the Construction industry, ideally Construction Management experience
- Previous Project Management experience with a formal qualification in Project Management
- High level technical understanding of the New Zealand building industry, design and building processes.
- Understanding of contracting and procurement processes for construction projects
- Effective communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to self manage, with strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines

You will also need:

- A clean NZ Drivers licence
- To be a NZ resident, with the legal right to work in NZ already established
