Engineering Master Data Specialist

Support design and procurement teams to create and maintain the item master data and production BOMs. This person will also aid and establish processes to facilitate version control of machinery and associated BOMs and the naming conventions used for all items. They will also provide additional resource to aid the production of technical documentation required for service / part sales including spare parts kits.
**WHAT YOU GET TO DO**
- Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities
- Define the master data strategy, roadmap for implementation, and execution of projects, ensuring data accuracy, timely delivery, and alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Map processes, define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability ensuring adherence to data standards, naming conventions, and procedures to maintain data integrity and consistency
- Enter, audit, and reconcile item master data components, bill of materials (BOMs), and production data (MANF) in ERP (Abel) and associated systems ensuring accuracy and integrity of information.
- Recommends innovative solutions to resolve issues or promote efficiencies
- Collaborates with engineering in development, set up and maintenance of accurate BOM items and master data through the analysis of item attributes and supports the team on the compliance and data processes
- Assistance with version control process and management
- Identify root causes of data quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Supports engineering and product teams in their specific data and documents management requirements, as appropriate, especially in the use of spare parts kits
- Technical support for procurement, production and service teams as needed
- Analyse existing processes in order to improve their efficiency and overall performance
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance item master data processes, tools, and methodologies
- Identify and develop approaches to mitigate risks associated with data quality, data governance, and data management processes

**WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, engineering, or a related field
- required
- Proven experience (5+ years) in master data management, data governance, or data management roles
- 5+ years’ experience in a comparable Engineering/Process environment (preferred)
- Experience in large scale ERP implementation preferred
- Experience in Solidworks or similar 3D CAD program (preferred)
- Familiarity with data quality management, data integration, and data migration strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Intuitive nature: ability to be proactive in finding solutions or highlighting potential problems
- Ability to work collaboratively and productively in team environments
- Ability to maintain an optimistic attitude to help promote a constructive environment
- Ability to act as a key team member providing leadership in all phases of projects
- Ability to foster strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to multitask, make decisions and effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
