**About the role**

Reporting to the Head of Architecture & Strategy, the Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in realising our investment in our digital platform and data strategy. You'll be instrumental in driving LIC's transformation by accelerating teams, influencing technology decisions, and ensuring alignment between business goals and technology strategy.

Key focus areas include:

- Reviewing and understanding our current state enterprise architecture.
- Developing future state enterprise architecture aligned with business objectives and our Technology Strategy.
- Providing thought leadership to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with agile engineering teams to deliver on our roadmap.
- Considering the cost, strategic contribution, and technical debt of solutions.
- Engaging with Product Owners and development teams to ensure effective delivery.
- Liaising with partners and maintaining relationships with key technology partners.
- Staying abreast of industry developments in enterprise architectures.

**About You**

You'll also confidently demonstrate:

- Proven experience in enterprise architecture and software design.
- Extensive knowledge of modular and distributed software architectures.
- Familiarity with automation techniques, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills coupled with a collaborative approach.
- Strategic thinking ability, capable of articulating trade-offs and risks.
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline. A qualification in Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, would be advantageous.
