**About the role**:
As the Triage Officer you will own and co-ordinate the delivery of the services and outcomes for vulnerable tamariki. Reporting to, and collaborating with the Strategic Planner, this role is requires taking a pro-active approach to ensure that at risk tamariki are identified and appropriate services are initiated. This is done by engaging with local schools and service providers, where the Triage Officer will manager outcomes in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Direct liaison with whanau to overcome any barriers of access to services;
- Identify gaps in services and develop solutions;
- Recording and reporting of interactions;
- Measure outcomes against strategic objectives and operational targets;
- Work closely and maintain relationships with the local community, schools, and wider stakeholders.

As the Triage Officer, you will have a genuine interest in the local community and care for the future, as well as at least three years' experience in a charity, local authority, or government agency (in a similar space) working with whanau and tamariki. You will have great interpersonal and relationship building skills, and excellent communication across all areas including verbal, written, and listening. You will always be considering the needs of the tamariki and whānau and be focused on how to ensure the best outcome for them. By developing innovative approaches to problems, you will need to be prepared to take calculated risks thus being confident in problem solving, analytics, and reporting.
