This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Canterbury Traffic Management team in a newly established role as Assurance Manager.

As the Traffic Management Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for the compliance of all temporary traffic management operations in the Canterbury region. You will liaise with internal and external clients to understand their operation and meet their temporary traffic management requirements. Utilising your industry experience, you will provide efficient solutions that are compliant with industry standards and with safety at front of mind.

In addition to the above you will:

- Champion the implementation of the NZ guide to TTM for the Canterbury region.
- Identify actions and requirements to help improve the regions compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee the TMP planning operation, ensuring high quality plans are being produced efficiently.
- Produce plans to improve competence and skills in the regions teams and overseeing their implementation.

We’re looking for someone with:

- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Traffic Management related roles.
- Strong understanding of the NZTA NZ Guide to TTM and CoPPTM.
- STMS and TMP planning qualifications.
- Experience and/or training in risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with a strong focus on people, safety and quality
- Ability to develop positive relationships with clients and internal/external teams
- Demonstrated experience in effective stakeholder management and business development.
- Experience in providing guidance and or training to TTM teams is preferred.
- TMP mentor qualification is preferred but not essential.
