**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The primary purpose of the role is to:

- generate ideas for visually appealing designs, layouts and illustrations.
- produce visual content for use through a variety of channels, including social media, our website and intranet and campaigns.
- maintain the integrity and visibility of our brand through consistency of content that supports the Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora brand.
- work alongside others to support the delivery of the team's priorities, and to contribute to continuous improvement in processes and practices within the team.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- At least five years' graphic design experience working in similar roles.
- Showcase a strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
- Use design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop) competently.
- Possess a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Have general experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams where multiple communications activities (media, design, strategic planning, stakeholder management), are needed to achieve a communications outcome.
- Experience with engaging external stakeholder groups and contributing to developing and delivering work that has had a positive impact.
