**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This role reports to the relevant District Health and Safety Delivery Manager and holds responsibility for undertaking the day-to-day health and safety operations at a District level, ensuring compliance with Te Whatu Ora expectations and relevant health and safety legislation, regulations and industry standards.
This role is responsible for providing support and technical expertise to the District Health and Safety Delivery Manager as required and participating in the implementation of Te Whatu Ora health and safety strategic and operational initiatives at a local level, as guided by the District Health and Safety Delivery Team Lead.
The incumbent will take a strong partnership approach with the relevant District Operations Managers to ensure service delivery is provided to meet District operational expectations.

- 10+ years of health and safety delivery experience.
- Proven ability to work in a complex, ambiguous at times, and changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritise, analyse, and resolve a range of issues/problems.
- The ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and to work in a range of settings.
- Experience making decisions and problem solving in ambiguous and complex environments in an operational setting. This is complemented by having strong verbal and written communication skills, and by being highly adaptable and resilient.
