- Our Clandeboye site is Fonterra’s largest manufacturing site, with 11 plants processing, at peak up to 13 million litres of milk per day through some of the biggest dryers in the world. We employee over 1,000 people across the value stream all bringing a diverse range of skills, expertise and thought to our operation.

- We are looking for experienced meticulous lab technicians who will be responsible for supporting our laboratory with the primary goal of optimizing lab procedures and succeeding in producing reliable test results for our South Island operations.Your day will be structured around receiving, labelling, analysing samples, executing a variety of lab tests across our sensory, micro and / or chemistry labs, interpreting, recording, and reporting on sample batches and sample results.In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Performing sample testing within the specified turn-around-time (TAT)
- Operating and maintaining lab equipment providing reports and inputting data
- Verifying and recording data generated from these methods accurately
- Collaborating effectively with team members to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Strictly complying with all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance protocols
- Maintaining a neat and organized workspace.
- Engaging and contributing to maintaining a safe working environment.

- We are looking for driven individuals with a technical mindset and passion for lab processes and structure. Lab work demands meticulous attention to detail, precise observations, and thorough record-keeping, so you will have a keen eye for detail to ensure our products are of the highest possible quality.We want to hear from you if you have:
- A Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Chemistry or Food Science
- Practical experience of tasks within a Laboratory environment, with working experience operating electrical and non-electrical lab equipment
- Proficient with specialised lab equipment, computerised tools, instruments and software
- Background in laboratory work, quality assurance, food handling, dairy manufacturing or analytical laboratory work is a must
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 Standard is desirable
- Prior experience in a dynamic and high-stress environment would be advantageous
- A team-oriented individual who can stay focused on monotonous tasks and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards and regulatory requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
