**About the Role**:
As a Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive occupational therapy services across a range of acute wards, including medical, surgical orthopaedic, older persons, rehabilitation services, and community settings. Working as part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and contribute to their recovery and overall well-being.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities to improve patients' functional abilities and independence.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and evaluate outcomes to optimize therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver clear and concise documentation, including written reports and progress notes, to maintain accurate patient records.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills in building rapport and establishing a positive therapeutic relationship with patients.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification) from a recognised institution.
- Current registration and valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling collaborative and productive teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet the demands of a dynamic healthcare setting.
