**Position**: Roller Door Technician
**Location**: Auckland
**Hours**: The position is full-time and at least 30 hours of work is guaranteed per week, additional hours up to (50 per week) may be available on occasion
**Wage rate**: Hourly rate from $30 - $35 per hour based on experience.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Roller Door Technician to join our installation team.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Site Assessment**:
- Conduct on-site assessments to determine the most suitable locations for roller door installation.
- Evaluate existing structures to ensure compatibility with roller door specifications.
- **Installation Planning**:
- Develop installation plans based on project requirements and customer preferences.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to schedule installation dates and times.
- **Door Preparation**:
- Prepare roller door components for installation, ensuring all parts are in proper working order.
- Verify that all necessary tools and equipment are available for the installation process.
- **Installation and Mounting**:
- Install roller doors according to manufacturer guidelines, engineering drawings, and industry standards.
- Mount and secure shutters in a manner that ensures proper functionality and durability.
- **Testing and Adjustment**:
- Conduct thorough testing of installed roller doors to ensure proper operation.
- Make necessary adjustments to mechanisms, locks, and other components for optimal performance.
- **Customer Communication**:
- Good communication skills and be able to speak and write in English.
- Communicate with clients during the installation process, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
- Demonstrate the proper use and maintenance of roller doors to clients upon completion.
- **Documentation**:
- Complete installation reports and documentation accurately, detailing work performed and any additional recommendations.
- Submit paperwork promptly to ensure proper record-keeping.
**Requirements**:
- **Experience**: 3+ years relevant experience, including hands-on experience working with various types of roller doors.
- **Customer Service**: Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- **Problem Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot and solve installation challenges effectively.
- **Safety Conscious**: Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during installation activities.
