- An excellent opportunity exists in the Merchandising team for a Buyer’s Assistant. This position involves providing support to the Buyer in the administration, implementation, and promotion of product ranges, liaising closely with suppliers and our store network.
- The successful applicant will assist the Buyer in the administration of the category in the achievement of sales, stock turns, margins, and promotional and marketing objectives.- Action EDLP changes in line with Buyer direction-
- Monitor competitor activity through catalogue and competitor feedback and action necessary EDLP in line with current process-
- Provide the necessary administrative support needed to ensure that department and product programs are implemented and the prompt processing of advertising material-
- Communicate to all relevant stakeholders both internal and external, so to promote and foster best practice for implementation of strategic pillars (Range, Price, Service)A bit about what you will need...- Accuracy and attention to detail-
- Excellent written and verbal communication-
- Proficient with MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint-
- Strong planning & organisational skills-
- Broad understanding of merchandising, store operation & sales forecasting-
- Experience in managing multiple internal and external relationships-
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team-
