**Salary**: $135,000 - $155,000

The Allied Professions Director Primary and Community Care Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley is a new role that will provide strategic direction and clinical leadership for the optimal utilisation of the Allied, Scientific & Technical workforces across the Community and Primary care settings, supporting whole of system commissioning and the wider development of Localities.
The role provides a forward and future focussed contribution that brings knowledge and models of the untapped opportunities where Allied Professions are key in supporting Pae Ora, Te Pae Tata, Locality and District priorities.
The Allied Professions Director Primary and Community Care is a member of the Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley Strategy, Strategy, Performance and Planning (SPP) team, and will partner closely with Clinical Leaders, SPP Managers and other key partners working across the primary and community interface to support the realisation of integrated pathways that utilise the full scope and capability of our health workforces.
This role will have a close working relationship with the Chief Allied Professions Officer, Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley to ensure there are integrated ways of working for the Allied Professions across the system and to leverage use of shared resources and knowledge for the benefit of our communities and our workforces.
This is a full-time, permanent position, though the option will be considered for applicants looking for part-time hours.

Strategy, Planning and Performance is accountable for the development and implementation of health system and service strategies. This includes the commissioning of integrated care for the people we serve; accountability and performance frameworks for the provider networks and using planning and funding levers to implement the transformation of the health system in our communities.

To be successful in this role you will be a highly experienced Allied Professions Leader who is passionate about the contribution and value that Allied Profession workforces can contribute across the Community and Primary care settings and development of Localities.
You will be future focussed and have the ability to provide strategic direction, clinical leadership, and system wide thinking. You will also have a high level of communication and relationship based skills and be committed to enacting Te Tiriti o Waitangi and prioritising pro-equity solutions.
