**About the role**

The Fleet and Property Specialist works collaboratively with the business to coordinate the maintenance and compliance of Connetics’ fleet, facilitating maximum operational availability in a cost-efficient manner. Through effective workflow planning, scheduling and collaboration across all regions and Business Units, this position ensures all fleet items remain fully compliant and available as needed. Additionally, this role provides expertise and guidance in the execution of the Decarbonisation Programme through a safe, well maintained and efficient vehicle fleet, supporting Connetics’ objectives for quality service delivery and reduction of emissions.

Acting as a support to the Fleet and Property Manager, the Fleet and Property Specialist also assists with site maintenance and compliance activities across Connetics’ portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities for this role include:

- Oversee and coordinate all activities relating to fleet compliance and safety
- Contribute to strategic and tactical fleet plans and programmes of work
- Develop and innovate scheduling and maintenance processes
- Help develop and deliver a fleet decarbonisation programme in alignment with Connetics’ 2030 emissions goals
- Develop data-based insights into fleet efficiency, utilisation and effectiveness of the decarbonisation programme
- Assist with property and site compliance activities and administration as required
- Provide support, direction and act as backup to the Fleet and Property Manager and the wider Team

This role is based in the Christchurch Office, but regular regional travel (every quarter) is required.

**Skills /Experience**

**Essential**
- Trade or tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in complex compliance requirements across a varied and technically demanding resource base
- Demonstrates knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and auto-electric systems
- Current, valid and clean class 1 vehicle licence
- Intermediate computer skills required in both Microsoft Office and SAP (or similar ERP system)
- Demonstrates a high regard for work efficiency, integrity, and delivery
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

**Desirable**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fleet co-ordination and/or scheduling role
- Experience with a large, diversified fleet
- Current, valid, and clean class 2 vehicle licence
- Supervisory experience in small teams
