Wētā FX is now taking expressions of interest for a Facial Models TD, to join our Facial Models team.

This role works closely with the Facial Models HOD and other key stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge technology and assets for the next stage in the evolution of Wētā's facial pipeline.

**Essential Skills**:

- Professional experience (5+ years) using Autodesk Maya
- Qualifications in Visual Effects, Computer Animation, or a related field
- Solid experience (5+ years) in VFX production environments
- Strong skills in facial rigging and geometry deformations
- Strong knowledge of FACS (or equivalent system) and facial anatomy
- Strong skills in MEL and/or Python with the ability to adhere to established coding conventions
- Attention to detail and accuracy

**Desirable Skills**:

- Experience with the Linux operating system
- Experience animating or solving facial performances
- Time management and organisational skills
