This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our success story at our award-winning Hatted Viaduct restaurant White + Wong’ based at our waterside location in the heart of Auckland CBD.
We are looking for an energetic and driven individual to join our management team
This dual role includes shift management duties with a strong focus and responsibility for areas of function & events.
- Previous experience in function & events role preferred
- Second nature ability to run a perfect shift in a high-volume restaurant
- Ability to lead a team to deliver amazing guest experiences day in and day out
- Confidence to take the lead in the planning, preparation, and client communication to ensure the smooth running of functions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to deal with a range of people
- Is positive, organised, energetic and with attention to detail
- Engage with new clients and maintain our growing customer database
- Thrive from working hard and getting great results
- A successful track record working in big teams in high volume restaurants
- A good understanding of restaurant operations
- Be familiar with SevenRooms or similar online reservation portals
You will be assisting the Venue Manager and Management Team:
- As the manager in charge of function enquiries
- Function conversion and liaising with clients
- Corporate & VIP guest experience
- Handling customer feedback and response
- Overseeing functions and coordinating with the front of house and kitchen
- Involved in running the day-to-day business
- Carry out normal shift management and operational duties
- Maintaining service procedures to ensure flow and harmony during peak capacities
- Assisting with focused training to maintain and deliver a hatted level of service
