Geneva Health provides specialised recruitment consultancy, Deaf and support services and rehabilitation programmes. Offering a wide choice of disability support services tailored to individual needs.
We are seeking a dedicated specialist who is fluent in NZSL to support young people and adults with Very High Needs. You will be responsible for helping these individuals achieve their goals and aspirations through activities on a one to one or group basis. This role has a specific focus on clients who have high and complex needs and often need physical support. This is a physical hands on role that requirements communication skills, planning skills and an ability to work independently with clients in a variety of activities.
This is a permanent full time role working Monday - Friday across Auckland.
This is a role suitable for a level two Support Worker.
Key Responsibilities
- To engage with the disabled community and their families
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with our clients
- Complete relevant documentation and individual plans
- Participate in the planning and delivery of our programmes
- Effectively manage a caseload of clients

**About You**:
- Previous experience with people living with disabilities and addressing issues clients may face
- Fluent in New Zealand Sign Language
- Understanding the significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Recognise and respect individual differences
- Proven and outstanding organisation and planning skills, including attention to detail, follow through and completion
- Innovative ideas and creative design
- Current Full NZ Drivers Licence
