We have an exciting opportunity for a **Workshop Controller** to join our team at our brand new **Palmerston North** branch.

Your main role will be to lead and manage the Dealership's workshop activity to maximise productivity and efficiency, achieve profitability targets and deliver the RVSC Customer Experience.

**KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Workshop Controller with 3+ years' experience preferred.
- Recognised mechanical qualification or equivalent.
- In depth technical background.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines & competing workloads.
- Significant experience of motivating, managing, and developing a team of technicians.
- Strong communicator.
- Working under pressure whilst maintaining control.
- Taking pride in work and maintaining high quality standards.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **_ Ensures exceptional customer service standards are met._**
- Ensures the workshop always delivers outstanding customer service.
- Demonstrates the RVSC Customer First Behaviours in all dealings with customers.
- **_Manages workshop operations to achieve key targets and deliver continuous improvement._**
- Ensures achievement of high productivity output through effective use of equipment and labour.
- Schedules daily workshop activities to ensure key targets are achieved.
- Proactively plans and identifies parts required for booked jobs, and coordinates All Parts ordering and procurement in advance to ensure these parts are available.
- **_Follows processes effectively to deliver outstanding workshop service._**
- Ensures standards of storage, cleanliness and tidiness are maintained in the workshop area, including cleanliness of vehicles during service and repair.
- Ensures the required documentation is fully completed, including job sheets are written, clocked, and invoiced prior to customer pick up.
- **_Manages and develops others._**
- Trains and develops the team and apprentices to achieve high-quality work, providing feedback and coaching as required.
- **_Works as a full member of the Dealership team_**
- Liaises with the Service Advisor regarding service activity levels to ensure the workshop is prepared to meet business requirements.
- Ensures that the Workshop team works closely with colleagues in Sales and Aftersales to deliver excellent customer service.
- Works with colleagues and other teams across the Dealership to seek out and deliver continuous improvements and provide a seamless service to customers.
