We are on the hunt for an industry specialist to bring your passion for the Fabrication Industry and be part of transforming lives through education, preparing our students for a career in the Engineering Industry and providing value to our region.

You don't need to be a lecturer but if discussing the components of fabrication processes, forming & shaping, pattern development, and alignment & distortion control all day moves you then we have a role for you where you can talk and demonstrate about these topics and more.

This position, based at our Manawatū Campus, will require you to be hands on, facilitating one on one learning, mentoring and motivating students, leading workshops and working with students individually, so your well-tuned rapport building and communication skills will be required.

As well as working with a dynamic team you will have the full support of the Academic Programme Manager with all delivery resources and practical assessments fully developed.

Skills & Experience:

• Relevant industry qualification (e.g. Trade Certificate, NZ Certification at level 4) or equivalent
• Experience delivering at the tertiary level and/or industry experience (ideally 5 years); with training and supporting apprentices an advantage.
• An Adult Tertiary Teaching qualification and/or the NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education and/or unit 4098 workbased assessor or be working toward these is desirable.
