Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to an internal promotion for our current Branch Manager, we now have an exciting opportunity for someone to step in and manage our head office in Wellington. You will be responsible driving the financial, operational, administrative, commercial, and health & safety objectives to meet or exceed targets for the region.

**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

Reporting to the Regional Manager you will:

- Manage financial performance of the branch (Profit and Loss)
- Ensure the customer is at the heart of all we do.
- Be responsible for operational planning of people, resources & transport requirements.
- Managing branch scoreboard KPI's - such as utilisation, claims/damages, Customer DIFOT, Safety, Customer Service
- Lead a safety culture throughout the branch and broader network.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and legislation.
- Support the national Branch and Regional networks to achieve success.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following key skills and experience:

- Customer focused mind-set
- 5+ years' experience in a managerial/ leadership position
- Experience in strategic and financial Planning.
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Cost management focused.
- Prior experience working in the transport and freight industry.
- Excellent working knowledge of HR/IR practices
- People leadership skills & experience
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
