These roles will work across Moana Pool, Port Chalmers Pool and St Clair Hot Saltwater Pool.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and ensure the safety of swimmers in and around the pool area
- Maintain constant surveillance of the pool and respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or potential hazards
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
- Administer first aid and CPR as required, following proper protocols
- Assist with pool maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, pool water tests and maintaining equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting pool patrons in a friendly and professional manner

**Qualifications**
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Possess a valid PLPC (desirable)
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
- Knowledge of water safety procedures and lifeguarding techniques
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification before employment)

**Work Schedule**

The position requires availability on weekends, evenings, and public holidays. Shifts may vary depending on the pool's operating hours and specific requirements.
