The Marketing Services team plays a key role in attracting students and helping raise the profile of the University.

**_The role/Te mahi_**

As a Marketing Adviser, you will provide strategic marketing advice and partner an academic division (Otago Business School) to develop and manage their marketing strategy and activities.

You will provide your marketing expertise to support the division and our internal clients within your assigned portfolio. This will include liaising with senior stakeholders and academics at all levels within the division and the wider university.

Analysing trends, student data and insights is key to the role in order to build clear objectives and strategies. You will then work closely with Marketing Specialists and/or Coordinators to plan work streams and deliverables through the wider marketing team including our in-house design, content, events and web teams, as well as external agencies.

We are looking for a qualified, organised, and customer focused marketing professional who has a passion for the University of Otago and its vision.
- Relevant marketing experience. Education or complex service category experience an advantage.
- Strong client service/stakeholder management experience and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships is vital.
- Analytical - experience in data analytics, consumer research and the ability to synthesis into workable insights and actions.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively - a true team player.
- Strong project-management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- The ability to juggle and prioritise urgent vs important.
- Experience in modern marketing techniques including search, digital and social.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of markets, marketing relationships, and networks specific to Māori and/or Pasifika audiences (an advantage).
- An optimistic energy.
