About the Role (your why)
What you’ll bring
- Experience: A seasoned and experienced product management professional with a track record of executing from concept to delivery of value in the real world. Past experience as an expert product owner and/or business analyst. Past technical experience of Tech Lead, Solution Architect with integration product management know-how will also be valued.
- Strategic Product Management: Experience and expertise in the practice of modern product management. A robust understanding of the commercial product management process, tailored to the SaaS product lifecycle.
- Agile Methodology: Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, with a focus on agile practices.
- Requirements Analysis: Proficient in eliciting and analyzing both functional and technical requirements.
- SaaS Expertise: A comprehensive grasp of SaaS metrics, growth levers, and the commercial aspects of product planning and execution.
- Financial Acumen: Insight into finance management practices, including cost estimation, budget tracking, and the interplay between costs, utilization, and revenue.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and steering projects to completion.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate complex issues, analyze diverse data sets, and stay ahead of business trends. Flexibility, pragmatism, and realism in the approach to solving problems that deliver value to customers
- Integration Proficiency: Knowledge of integration patterns, data flows, an HR system like Workday, payroll systems, other HRIS, Workforce Management and Finance apps used in the market. Worked experience on integration service platforms comprising of an API Manager and Integration Services Layer (iPaaS) using more config, less code approach to deliver quick, efficient, and scalable integration solutions in the real world will be a significant added advantage.
- Basic Technical Proficiency: Basic know-how and, better still, hands-on skills and decent proficiency in.NET framework, C#, APIs, Webhooks, Data Serialization/Deserialization, File Operations, Database Management (SQL Server, SQL Queries), Security (OAuth, JWT), Exception Management (Error Handling and Logging), Version Control, and basics of CI/CD.
- Solution Design: A background in technical solution design or product engineering is a significant plus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a compelling business case for product enhancements, ensuring alignment with market demands and growth objectives. Work closely and collaboratively with the Product Lead on strategic aspects of the role.
- Budget Management: Oversee product budgets, monitor performance, and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product line lifecycle, from strategic planning to tactical execution. Focus on product development and getting our integrations to high quality and stable at scale state.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer teams to drive the growth and market success of new product initiatives. Collaborate with the Product Lead to help drive the commercialization of the integrations across New Zealand and Australia.
- Product Optimization: Direct and implement product modifications to maximize revenue and growth.
- Roadmap Leadership: Lead the development of strategic product roadmaps and learning collateral in line with corporate goals.
- Investment Management: Manage investments in product initiatives, measuring and showcasing the return on these investments.
- Industry Expertise: Utilize your deep industry knowledge to strategically guide product development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with stakeholders in sales, marketing, and finance to enhance product delivery.
- Team Development: Instruct and mentor junior staff, providing guidance within established company policies.
- Squad Leadership: Lead and manage a squad with a servant leadership approach, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
