**The Company**

My client is a well established global company, with a strong brand presence. In NZ the business is over $200M t/o and employs 750+ staff. This company operates in the technology solutions space and is innovative and keeping abreast of change constantly. The NZ business rolls into the Oceania segment but also has direct communications with head office.

**The Role**

The role of Procurement Specialist will report to the CFO and be responsible for undertaking a procurement process review and reporting back on the findings after some areas have been highlighted in an internal audit. As this business is innovative and needs to keep abreast of technology advances, the business is fast, dynamic and therefore this requires those qualities as well as someone being very commercially savvy. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Review and document current Group procurement processes and procedures including:

- Purchase Order Process / use of purchase Orders across various business units and departments
- Vendor / Supplier selection, appointment and management
- Documentation, training and compliance around procurement process.
- Review and documentation of procurement process including use of PO's, highlight suggested areas of risk and proposed improvements
- Identify opportunities and recommendations to improve procurement process with the view to increasing PO usage
- Identify areas where PO's not currently used and where could be / should be implemented
- Review vendors across all business units
- Develop procurement process refresher training
- Identify key cost and spend areas which require detail review - e.g Couriers to be recharged to customers
- Review ofARIBA
- Review current process above
- Review & Document proposed ARIBA requirements
- Prepare GAP analysis between current PO process / system and proposed ARIBA system
- Prepare summary and recommendation between current PO process vs ARIBA implementation including pro's and cons for presentation to SLT
- Provide summary and recommendation to CFO and SLT to address original internal audit issue and proposed ARIBA implementation
- Prepare formal NZ procurement policy and documentation for approval by NZ SLT and Group

**Your Profile**

To be considered for this role, there are a number of criteria you will need to meet. These include:

- Proven senior level experience as a Procurement professional
- Experience in large MNC environment, managing multiple stakeholders
- Proven effective management of change
- Strong process / systems improvement skills
- Advanced knowledge of accounting theory, practice, and internal control
- Previous experience with ARIBA - ideally implementation experience
- Leadership abilities that show an ability to influence
- Commercially astute with an ability to interpret financial information
- Proven experience working in a dynamic, fast paced culture
