And right now, we are looking for talented individuals to join our Operations team. Working amongst the best, you'll develop the skills to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our gas pipelines and related assets.

Not only will you be supported to complete your trade apprenticeship, you'll also be earning the living wage (with annual reviews) and work alongside our experienced team based around the North Island.

Are you ready to embark on a hands-on journey into the world of pipeline mechanics? Our Pipeline Mechanical Technician Apprenticeship offers you the perfect opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real impact in a thriving industry.

We have an opening in Palmerston North for a _Pipeline Mechanical_ apprentice. This role will work across the region, however it will suit someone who is in or close to Palmerston North. As an Apprentice, you'll be guided by experienced professionals every step of the way. This comprehensive program is designed to equip you with the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to excel in maintaining and optimizing pipeline systems.

**You can expect to learn**:

- _ Mechanical Expertise_: Gain a solid foundation in understanding the mechanics of pipelines and their components.
- _ Safety Protocols:_ Learn industry-standard safety practices to ensure the well-being of yourself and your team.
- _ Maintenance and Repairs:_ Acquire hands-on experience in conducting inspections, performing repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- _ Problem-Solving Skills:_ Develop the ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical challenges efficiently.
- _ Team Collaboration: _Work closely with a supportive team, learning the value of effective teamwork.

**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role you'll need**:

- Mechanically mind
- Positive and adaptable - ready to live our TIGER values
- A motivated problem solver.
- An eagerness to develop and learn.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team and work independently.
- Prepared to travel to areas of the North Island and stay overnight at times.
- A full driver’s licence (or on path to).
