Being organised and dealing with a variety of people from all walks of life comes easily to you. You know how to deliver clear messages and remain level headed when tricky
situations arise. All of this is within reach if you hold your current Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate, your comprehensive First Aid and have experience within this environment.

Key parts of the process:
- If you are the successful applicant, you will be required to undertake a swim test and two full days of lifeguard training either **6**th** October & 7**th** October or 11**th** October & 12**th** October** with a follow up assessment on **14**th** October **at **Taiora (QEll)** to gain your formal Pool Lifeguard Qualification. The cost of these courses is covered by Christchurch City Council. (If you already hold a PLPC you will not need to attend the Lifeguard assessment day.)

- Salary: $23.65 per hour
- Hours of Work: Full time, Permanent
Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
