**Job Description**:
You will be part of the UI Platform team whose mission is to make it easy for our Product Engineering Teams to build User Interfaces with an aligned approach to compliance, patterns, and technology. We achieve this by building fit-for-purpose products like Design System Components to ensure consistency across teams or our UI hosting platform to enable fast delivery to production.

Our team plays a key role in enabling Visa Spend Clarity to deliver scalable and robust solutions that will take our product to more customers and users around the globe With an engineering group of nearly 300 people, Visa Spend Clarity is a key focus area with large growth ambitions driven by customer needs and a desire to innovate using modern cloud technologies.

**What you’ll be doing**
This is a niche software development role at Visa. You will work within a cohesive, cross discipline team who are passionate about improving the experience of developing User Interfaces at Visa. You will interact with other teams like UX and Accessibility to ensure we’re building things the right way as well as working directly with our customers (internal engineering teams).
- This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time, based on business needs._

**Qualifications**:
**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Solid communication skills and a willingness to collaborate.
- Willingness to adopt the viewpoint of the customer in providing products and help to a diverse group of internal customers.
- A curiosity about learning new technologies and approaches focusing on the UI space.
- A bias towards system thinking; the ability to keep an open mind and to be influenced by others.
- A solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when used to build structured websites.
- Experience in any modern front-end framework including Angular, VUE, React and Svelte.
- Some experience in building reusable web components using any of the modern web frontend frameworks.

**What will also help**
- Knowledge of what it takes to build an accessible User Experience including:

- responsive website design across different devices browsers
- high contrast and colour contrast modes
- font resizing
- Experience in Web Performance Optimization (WPO).
- Building and running internal platforms with a focus on crafting an outstanding product experience.
- Use of package bundlers such as webpack, vite.
- An understanding of Internationalization (i18n) and Localisation (i10n).
