**About the role**

We have an exciting position within our Quality team for a Quality Control Manager of our Technical Team where you will drive and lead the scientific support for non-routine analytical testing activities of the QC department.

You will lead, coach and support a team of six Scientists where you will ensure resource capacity is optimal, work is completed to a high quality standard and that your team are driven by continuous improvement.

Along with being a strong leader, you will also have a strong technical ability. You will develop, verify and validate analytical methods and perform method transfer and product launch activities. You will also investigate and resolve quality issues by driving laboratory quality investigations, provide data to support changes of API or excipient supplier and also support the project management team by providing high quality analytical testing for process validations.

You will adhere to schedules for compliance activities by ensuring methods maintain their validated status and are up to date with the current pharmacopoeia, perform data trending including PQR preparation and ensure that both customer and regulatory quality expectations are met.

This is a great opportunity for a leader who has a high level of instrumentation skills (HPLC, GC, NIR) and competence in modern analytical chemistry techniques, proven leadership experience, tertiary qualification in Chemistry (BSc or equivalent) with proven background in pharmaceutical QC or prior experience in GLP/GMP laboratories.
