**Job Description**:
We are looking for an Environmental Scientist or Engineer that is a motivated, self-starter to join our Environment Business in Auckland and play a key role in supporting a vast array of interesting and diverse projects both our NZ and Australia.

The AECOM Auckland office is a perfect location to foster your passion for managing the environment where we work closely with various disciplines to work towards best outcomes for the environment. In the environment team we provide experience in everything from ecology, sustainability and resilience, planning, contaminated site investigation and remediation, environmental management and auditing, hydrology and hydrogeology, sediment, and erosion control, monitoring of rivers and streams, wastewaters and groundwaters.

**What will a day in this role look like**:

- You will assist with the organization and completion of fieldwork and reporting/proposal preparation aspects of multiple concurrent projects ranging from contamination investigations to regulatory compliance monitoring.
- Work amongst a team of peers and alongside our clients and subcontractors, while learning first-hand from our in-house senior advisors and technical leaders.
- You will be involved in a range of environmental projects and site investigations, including the preparation of field plans, implement AECOMs Safety, Health and Environment Policies and Quality Control Policies.
- You will contribute to a range of projects sizes with opportunities to develop project management skills and will play an active role in project delivery and client management.

**Qualifications**:
**What are we looking for from you?**
- Experience in preliminary and detailed site investigations for soil, vapour, landfill gas, asbestos, surface water and/or groundwater.
- The role requires good communication skills and the ability to deliver technical excellence, as well as being able to comply with AECOM Safety, Health and Environment Policies.
- Experience in data management software (ESDAT / Equis / Leapfrog / Surfer), preparation of environmental reports and with Microsoft Office packages such as Word & Excel
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science, engineering, geology, or earth science.
- Current Full drivers license.
