**About the role**:
You'll join a team of engineering geologists and geotechnical engineers where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the geotechnical leadership group and global community to help shape the development of the Asia Pacific geotechnical team. You’ll be involved in a range of projects including dams and hydropower, transportation, and water and wastewater infrastructure throughout New Zealand and Asia Pacific.

Key aspects of this role include:

- Provide technical leadership
- Determine internal and external client requirements
- Conduct and manage field data acquisition, site investigations and testing
- Develop ground models and provide input into specifications and drawings to ensure that geotechnical designs provide appropriate solutions
- Provide engineering geological expertise to meet project needs
- Develop strong working relationships with existing and new clients to help expand Stantec’s market share.

**Qualifications**:
We're looking for competent engineering geologists, with 10+ years’ experience, preferably Engineering NZ accredited or approaching that level, ideally gained by working in New Zealand. Previous experience in Australia or Asia Pacific would be useful. You'll have a strong background in engineering geology and being familiar with industry standard design software including logging software (gINT/Holebase), and numerical slope modelling (Slope W) would be a benefit. You'll also need a track record of managing client relationships and winning work.
