KiwiRail is New Zealand's national railway, employing talented people in a wide range of business functions. Our teams are responsible for maintaining 4,000 kilometres of the rail corridor, bridges, tunnels, viaducts, overhead wires, signals, and level crossings. We are looking for a committed team player to join out Network Services Team in Pukekohe Auckland as Trainee Structures Worker. This is a great opportunity to enter the rail industry and build on your existing skills in an iconic company which can develop into a great career.

**What you’ll do**
- As a member of a KiwiRail infrastructure team, you would be required to work efficiently in a small team environment.
- Your main duties will be to carry out maintenance, repairs, and renewals of all railway structures (such as bridges, light towers, and culverts) on the track network. You will receive full training and support to help you succeed in your role.

If you have a 'can do and will do attitude, enjoy learning and can problem solve in a fast-paced outdoor environment, the railway could be for you

**What you’ll need**
- Experience in the building, carpentry or similar industry will be a great advantage.
- Experience in working as an excavator operator is highly desirable.
- A genuine commitment to safety and zero harm.
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and nights. There also could be the opportunity to travel and stay away overnight, including attending callbacks/callouts when required.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions outdoors and work at heights.
- A current full, clean Class 1 Licence.
- Class 2 licence would be desirable but not essential.
