Our next generation hotel features a new and unique pod design, ensuite rooms, double rooms (with shared facilities), communal kitchen, Miss Lucy’s bar and restaurant, as well as co-working and co-living spaces. This state-of-the-art property is the largest of it’s kind in New Zealand and an example of where the brand is heading.- You’ll join a wider, inspired team who aim to deliver the ultimate customer experience. We believe that anything is possible, whilst having fun along the way- Key Responsibilities:
- Be the face of the hotel - provide guests with friendly and efficient service related to arrival, departure and any guest queries
- Where required, assist guests with their queries, familiarize with hotel services and our local area
- Follow procedures for payments and security on front desk
- Varied busy shift where no two days are the same
- Attend to guest requests in a professional and timely manner
- Oversee and co-ordinate operational activities of all departments while maintaining the established standards of service
- Ensure the health and safety of all guests, visitors and employees
- Guarantee the running of the hotel in accordance to hotel policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals to ensure compliance, safety and profitability
- Be fully conversant with the hotel facilities, services and rates in order to promote hotel facilities, answer any queries and make bookings
- Actively look for opportunities to upsell hotel facilities and services
- Process daily guest transactions and accounts accurately and efficiently
- Be a brand ambassador for the hotel as well as EVT
- Give assistance and support to other departments and/or colleagues when needed
- Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings, training and development programs

- Skills & experience- 3 years’ experience in a hotel reception or customer service role.
- IT-savvy with good numeracy and quick-thinking skills
- Have excellent English communication skills and be able to engage with our guests via phone and face-to-face in a professional manner
- Team focused, hardworking and reliable with fantastic people skills
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts as required including weekends and public holidays
- The right to work in New Zealand
- Hold a current Managers Licence
