**Job Description**:
The Cloud & Operations team provides a wide range of technology planning, implementation, operation, and support services as a service to the illion DTS Group. The Cloud & Operations team will help integrate and align software development, testing and operational activities while considering the technology environment, design practices and security compliance.

The purpose of the role is to provide technical support for key technology platforms including cloud and operations, ensuring they are managed and supported. Supporting PaaS, IaaS and SaaS cloud services and private cloud, while assisting in SaaS implementations ensuring maximum service uptime and availability.

**Functional Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Work in collaborative cross-functional teams to support and deliver technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Work with the Head of Cloud & Operations and team to ensure DR capabilities fit for purpose, test and tried, and delivered to the required expectations.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and work with the Head of Cloud & Operations, the team, and relevant parties to develop and execute improvements within company security policies and procedures.
- Support PaaS, IaaS and SaaS cloud services and private cloud, while assisting in SaaS implementations
- Responsible for the design, review of architectures, and construction of cloud service provider environments.
- Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Training teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
- Using your extensive knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed.
- Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services.

**Qualifications**:

- 4+ years’ experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position with Knowledge on cloud services and developing languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
- Experience working with OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Rackspace, Docker and Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.
- Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
- Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres.
- AWS Security desirable
- AWS / Azure SysOps Admin certification
- AWS Solutions Architect certification
- OpenStack Administrator Certification
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
