**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Are you seeking a meaningful role where you can truly impact the lives of tamariki? We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate ECE qualified and registered teacher. Join the team at our homely yet spacious heritage style centre nestled in the heart of the University of Auckland’s city Campus.

Alten Road ECE Centre is licensed for 39 children and caters to children aged between 3 months and 6 years. We are committed to providing care, learning, and teaching for our future generation that is of high quality, innovative, and progressive. This opportunity is for qualified kaiako who are passionate about working with our children in a mixed-age setting.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position.
Remuneration is from $57,358 to $96,820 per annum, based on pay parity assessment level.

To be successful in this role, you will be:

- A New Zealand qualified and registered teacher, who has a natural nurturing qualities, who is passionate about children’s learning and development.
- To be open to and able to work with all age groups.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to match current theory into practice and demonstrate a working knowledge of Te Whāriki.
- Able to communicate effectively, confidently and respectfully and committed to creating/maintaining strong, positive relationships with the learning community.
- Able to work with a team who have a strong emphasis on whakawhanaungatanga (relationships and how we relate to others) and a collaborative work approach.
- Able to demonstrate a growth mind-set, be open and willing to reflect and change to support us to continue providing quality interactions and learning to all children under in our care.
