We have an exciting opportunity for a certified kaiako to join our community whānau.

Are you ready to begin or take the next step in your career? Are you passionate about learning and ready to grow with the needs of our tamariki? We are looking for a qualified ECE kaiako or, either with experience or newly qualified, to join our small experienced team.

We are seeking kaiako interested in either full time or part time.

Pipitea Childcare Centre is a non-profit parent and teacher co-operative in Thorndon. Our environment is warm, caring, and creates a home away from home. We have the pleasure of welcoming 29 tamariki per day from 6 months to 6 years and are looking for a new team member to join us.

- Flexible approach in every aspect with kaiako wellbeing prioritised.
- A Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) or Dip Tch Level 7 (ECE) or equivalent
- holds current teacher certification.
- able to demonstrate current knowledge of curriculum (Te Whariki), pedagogy and assessment.
- demonstrates enthusiasm for tamariki learning.
- contributes to the development of a reflective professional culture.
- has knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
