The Otago School of Pharmacy is the oldest in the country and prides itself on achieving excellence in pharmaceutical science and pharmaceutical care. We aim for excellence in research and research informed teaching in pharmaceutical science, clinical pharmacy and social pharmacy.

**_The role/Te mahi_**

We are seeking an innovative individual to join our world-class academics in He Rau Kawakawa (School of Pharmacy) at the University of Otago. This position supports 200 and 300 level medicinal chemistry and medicines formulation and delivery teaching in a new Pharmaceutical Sciences degree.

Key tasks include supporting undergraduate teaching by assisting with preparation and delivery of course material, assessment and course administration duties. In this role you will be required to:

- Facilitate learning by delivering high quality lectures, tutorials, workshops and laboratories as expected in the School of Pharmacy.
- Provide in-course assessment and feedback to students on their progress.
- Carry out all marking and assessment reporting in accordance with University guidelines.
- Assist with course administration and development of innovative learning tools and materials.
- Take an active interest in the activities relating to the Department.
- Meet all compliance and reporting requirements.
- Work collegially with staff and students in the School and University.

**_Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako_**
- Have a Master’s degree or above (in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline), and may hold or be studying towards a higher degree.
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate levels.
- Good communication skills and an ability to work co-operatively with others.
- Evidence of an ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds and at all levels of the institution.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE), fixed term position for eight months from 31 January 2023, located in Dunedin.

The salary for this position ranges from $63,442 to $74,758, pro rata.
