**Mō tēnei mahi | About this job**
We are seeking a passionate Kaiako to deliver Te Aupikitanga ki te Reo Kairangi (Level 6). This is a permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) position starting in January 2025.
This role involves engaging with tauira to enhance their understanding and use of te reo Māori at an advanced level. You will develop lesson plans, present material, and support tauira in their learning journey. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, you will inspire and motivate tauira to reach their full potential, ensuring a positive and impactful learning experience. You will also manage and assess tauira progress, utilizing your expertise to guide them towards successful course completion and academic achievement
**Mōu | About you**
You will also bring with you:
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5)
- Either attest equivalence for NZQA standards required to assess and moderate this programme or hold the NZ Certificate in Assessment Practice (L4)
- Full and current New Zealand Driver’s License
- Substantial experience in related role
- Fluent in te reo Māori
- Experience in facilitating Noho Marae is also an advantage.
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
