Looking for a hands on and busy part-time morning role in an amazing looking department?

We are looking for a hardworking and energetic team player for a permanent part-time Produce position.

**Days and hours for this position are as follows**:
Monday 6am-3pm and Sunday 6am-10am

**About us and what we offer**:
New World Durham Street is Christchurch’s newest supermarket experience, offering the latest in supermarket design and features and we are proudly locally owned and operated. We have a fresh, inviting, beautifully presented Produce department located in the entrance to our fresh food courtyard that gets fantastic feedback year round.

This role offers a great team and store culture and full training.

**Your day to day**:

- Unloading our Produce order from delivery trucks first thing in the morning - a very physical, hands on task
- Helping and assisting customers on the shop floor
- Filling produce neatly and efficiently while also checking the quality of the produce as you fill
- Presenting produce so it is accessible and looks great
- Cleaning
- Assisting with stocktakes
- Adhering to all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards

**What we need from you**:

- great work ethic - hard work and hustle is a requirement for this role
- excellent customer service skills
- good physical fitness for heavy lifting
- great presentation skills and attention to detail
- flexibility to work extra hours especially during busy periods such as Easter and Christmas
- the ability to work effectively and efficiently while managing your own workload
- a willingness to learn about fruits and vegetables
