opportunities
- Permanent Radiology Training Registrar position
- Starting 27 January 2025

are interested entering Radiology Training, for positions within the Wellington
region. All our Radiology Registrar positions are accredited as training posts
by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
Applications for Radiology training are received
through the RANZCR, and then a national match process is conducted. Before
criteria.
Please note that if you are a post part-1 trainee
who would like to move to Wellington, please discuss this with your current
Director of Training and then contact the Director of Training at Wellington
passing your part-1 RANZCR examination.
Trainees may be required to rotate between various
hospitals within the Lower North Island Training network in order to complete
training.
RMO salaries are calculated based on relevant
previous years of experience and the average weekly hours of work as set out in
the relevant run description. For the current salary bands, please refer to
either the Specialty Trainees of New Zealand (SToNZ) or Resident
Doctors - Association (RDA) Single-Employer
Collective Agreements.
Experience
and Eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate work experience; ideally with

experience in a range of medical and surgical runs or Registrar level
experience to ensure you have a broad base of clinical knowledge;
- You must have eligibility for general or provisional general
registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Information on the

Hospitals and Services
Join our fellow 615 Resident Medical Officers
employed by two districts in the Central region (Capital, Coast & Hutt
Valley and Wairarapa Districts) to gain leading experience, medical supervision
and training.
Capital & Coast - Wellington Regional and
Kenepuru Hospitals
Radiology Services provide a wide range of
diagnostic and interventional imaging for the district CCHV and adjacent
regions, including Angiography, CT, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear
Medicine, Ultrasound and General Radiography. The Radiology service is
multi-disciplinary, employing Radiologists, Nurses, Administration Support
Staff and Medical Imaging Technologists, and is a training institution for
Radiology Registrars -, NMT - s, MRI MIT - s and Sonographers
There are 10 accredited Radiology Registrar
training positions based at Capital and Coast. RANZCR has moved towards a
regional approach to training, and therefore includes Palmerston North and
Lower Hutt as part of this network as well as the private sector.
