**About the role**

In this busy and diverse role, your leadership skills and passion for having great spaces for our community will be a real asset.

You will:

- Lead and motivate a team to provide a great standard of service
- Plan maintenance schedules of playgrounds and outdoor furniture
- Ensure repairs and graffiiti removal are carried out promptly
- Work alongside and site supervise any operational work with community groups, volunteers, school groups and Resident Associations
- Ensure Health and Safety is front of mind for all team members
- Ensure all work carried out is documented accurately, and carried out in compliance with policies and legislation.

**About you**

You’ll need to be hardworking, motivated and passionate about Porirua City. This is a busy role, and will keep you on your toes.

You’ll need to show us that you:

- Can supervise staff to ensure programmed maintenance schedules are carried out;
- Are customer focussed, and will deliver exceptional customer service
- Have experience in fabrication, building and workshop maintenance
- Are computer literate
- Hold an unrestricted class 1 drivers license
- Are able to meet the physical demands of the role;
- Have effective administration skills;
- Have a good understanding and commitment to health and safety in the workplace;
