Project Manager

will be responsible for the delivery of a broad range of Energy Projects through investigation, design, planning, execution and close out. The JGP Team has over 20 years' experience in Project Management and Consultancy, Project Engineering, Supervision, Planning and Commissioning across Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Water, Heavy Industry, Primary Industries and Infrastructure We provide comprehensive services for the management, planning, execution and commissioning of projects across: Production Plants Transmission and Networks Tank Farms Water Facilities Port Facilities Power Stations Refineries Heavy Industry Plants Onshore/Offshore Exploration Facilities Our intellectual property and experience has resulted in the development of processes, systems and procedures that very successfully deliver these Projects and are scalable based on the scope of work. Integral to this, is understanding Project Risks and Risk Profile. JGP has utilised, developed and refined Risk Management Tools that identify these risks and their potential impact, and implement effective mitigation measures. We successfully deliver Projects from early concept phase and preliminary planning, through detailed scoping, planning and scheduling, into execution, commissioning and close out. We listen to, and understand our Clients' requirements, and refine our systems, processes and procedures to fit the Projects specific needs. Job tasks and responsibilities Development of concise work programmes, budgets, costs controls and project specific organisational structures. Efficient planning and execution of works to schedule in conformance with project requirements. Ensuring a high standard of health, safety and environmental controls. Primary Work Tasks: Performing design planning and construction operations in conformance with project requirements using qualified procedures and personnel as applicable, and assuring that the required level of quality of workmanship is maintained throughout the construction process. Co-ordination and supervision of various Subcontractors in the performance of their assigned Scope of Work and for execution of work in a manner that this consistent with Project Quality requirements. Requiring Subcontractors to perform their assigned work in accordance with approved procedures and design requirements using personnel qualified to implement these procedures when applicable. Having knowledge of Project requirements and for requesting technical assistance and services from the Project Engineers as required. Stopping work at their discretion. Developing and implementing required craft training and induction programmes. Liaison with the Client and understanding their requirements. Ensuring all site works are carried out safely and that there is minimal environmental disturbance during construction works. Ensuring all personnel have the relevant information to carry out their duties. Responsible for all Operation Procedures and Work Instructions to be implemented on the Project. Responsible for organising and leading Weekly Progress/Look Ahead meetings. Providing the Contracts Manager weekly email progress report and monthly cost report. Planning future work to the level and timeframe necessary to execute works effectively and efficiently. Ensuring compliance with all Client work requirements including but not limited to; Permit to work system, Job Safety (Hazard) Analysis, Tool Box meeting requirements, Incident reporting procedures. Internal Relationships: Reporting to Director. External Relationships: Liaison with the Client and understanding their requirements. Ensuring compliance with all Client work requirements. Skills and experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Management. Aptitude with personal computers and MS Office applications. Familiarity with computerized Maintenance Management systems and MS Project. Excellent in written and oral communication with Supervisors, Engineers and Managers at all levels. Experience in scheduling both large and medium sized projects. Experienced in cost estimating, management and control Ability to work as part of a composite team to meet challenging Safety and Quality targets to tight deadlines. Experience working in an industrial site environment, preferably Utilities and/or Petrochemical. Current Driving Licence. Personal Attributes: Self-starter, decisive, keen, details driven, adaptable, methodical, able to work under pressure, flexible. Team player who can enjoy a good working environment.
