About Karbase Services Limited:
Established in 2005, Karbase Services began as a panel beating and suspension/wheel alignment shop in Otahuhu. Over the years, we have grown to become a one-stop shop for automotive services, including:
- Diagnostic tuning
- Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections
- General repairs
- Repair certifications
- Vehicle compliance
In 2017, we moved to a larger facility at 100 Great South Road, Otahuhu, to accommodate our expanding services, including a compliance center and service station.
We pride ourselves on delivering prompt, high-quality service in a convenient location for collision repair. Our team is known for its expertise in panel and paint services, making us a trusted choice for automotive repair and compliance in Auckland.
Position: Automotive Painter
Location: Otahuhu, Auckland
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $28 to $32 per hour (based on experience)
Roles and Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Painter at Karbase Services Limited, you will be responsible for:
1. Surface Preparation: Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and smoothing.
2. Paint Application: Applying primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other painting equipment.
3. Color Matching: Mixing and matching paint colors to ensure a seamless finish that matches the vehicle's original appearance.
4. Quality Control: Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets industry standards and company quality guidelines.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
6. Team Collaboration: Working closely with panel beaters and other team members to ensure seamless repair and painting processes.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring the final paintwork meets or exceeds customer expectations.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience as an Automotive Painter in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Proficiency in color matching and paint mixing.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications (preferred but not essential).
- A valid driver's license.
